Engadine Bee Experience

Good evening parents!

At St George Montessori Early Learning, we follow a Montessori curriculum which is underpinned by five fundamental principles; language, mathematics, practical life, sensory activities and cultural studies. This means each day your child spends at St George Montessori, they are presented with multiple opportunities to enhance their understanding of the world around them.

On Monday our Engadine Centre had a professional Beekeeper, Duncan, visit the children. They were taught about how honey is made, and even got the opportunity to take jars of honey home for their families to enjoy! We thought this would be the perfect experience for the children in light of the “Save the Bees” campaign, which is focussed on restoring the bee population and improving ecological agriculture of the bee’s pollination. In doing this, there will be an improvement in crop yields, which has so many benefits.
