We are conveniently located in Engadine on Woronora Road, just off the Princes Highway. Recently updated, our Engadine Early Learning Centre uses the Montessori approach to education founded by Dr Maria Montessori. Every area of the centre has been thought out to encompass this curriculum and to develop knowledge and skills that provides the foundation of a lifelong love for learning.
Early Learning Centre Engadine
Our core Montessori curriculum covers areas such as practical life skills, sensory development, literacy and numeracy, science, geography and art. These areas provide the best foundation as students prepare for their transition to school. To support our Montessori learning, our early learning centre in Engadine also follow the EYLF to enhance and to provide a holistic learning experience for each child.
Children ages three-six are provided with an extensive school readiness program. The preschool room is fitted with an interactive whiteboard, school based activities and computers to assist with preparation for school. Our kindergarten curriculum is based on play based learning, that allows children through their smooth transition.
As part of the Montessori philosophy, our childcare centre in Engadine is passionate about sustainability and this is embedded in our program. We encourage nature play, growing and caring for the vegetable garden, collecting eggs from the chickens, learning about recycling and caring for the world around us.

At St George Montessori we provide a home-like environment and encourage family participation. We hold numerous events throughout the year and we regularly communicate with parents through emails, apps and notice boards in the foyer. We believe parent involvement is important for our Centre’s success and we encourage regular feedback.
(Age 0 - 2 Years)
Our nursery program in Engadine allows infants and toddlers to have enough space to develop themselves. We let the child develop according to his/her own natural growth pattern and have the freedom to create his/her own personality.

Our Montessori preschool classroom is a “living room” for the children, with all furniture and resources within proportion to the child’s size. We made our preschool program in Engadine a welcoming environment for their early learning journey.
(Age 3 - 5 Years)
We provide children entering school age with a variety of experiences that will help make the transition to school. Our kindergarten in Engadine ensures a positive and smooth experience through a supportive transition program.

Meet Our Centre Manager
“Hi my name is Toni, I have been in the childcare industry for four years. Working with children has always been a passion of mine and I love the rewarding feeling of seeing the children grow, to further my passion for education I am currently studying towards my Bachelor of Teaching. For me, the role of managing a centre meant creating an environment for all that was welcoming and working together as a team to provide a high quality service to families. My favourite part of my role is building meaningful relationships with the children, families, community and educators.”
