Our Hammondville Centre has been in operation since 2005 and we are proud to promote and celebrate cultural diversity within our community, families and team. Our main objective is to help children to reach their maximum learning potential and learning outcomes, while belonging, being and becoming well-balanced individuals.
Our Hammondville Centre uses the Montessori approach to education founded by Dr Maria Montessori. Every area of the centre has been thought out to encompass this curriculum and to develop knowledge and skills that provides the foundation of a life long love for learning. We only employ the best educators who are dedicated to providing a stimulating and exciting program for our children, supported by their caring and nurturing nature and great team like attitude.
We strive on being the best in the area, providing our children with the tools to create the best start in life. We do this by conducting community visits, which include the local fire brigade, police department, doctors, dentists and Kindi-farms. Our children take part in caring for their environment by looking after our vegetable gardens and tending to our chickens. We use our own produce both chicken eggs and the vegetables for the children to create their own meals throughout the day and prepare their own lunch. Â A cook is present on premises, to provide 5 meals daily.
We also implement an intense school readiness program for our preschool aged children which develop children’s English, Science and Mathematical intellect to prepare them for the school years ahead.
The combination of our curriculum, facilities and passionate team set us apart from our competitors. We provide a holistic approach to your child’s education by combining the Montessori curriculum with the Early Years Learning Framework 2.0 (EYLF) and National quality standards. We also provide nature play and a sustainability program that includes environmentally focused playgrounds, chickens, vegetable gardens and compost programs.
Our extracurricular activities vary at each centre subject to children’s interests but could include Happy Feet, Soccer Joeys, language classes, dance classes and Munch and Move. All our centres provide healthy nutritious meals, prepared onsite by our centre cooks. We also take pride in winning the 2018 St George Local Business Awards and being a finalist in 2019. To assist families with fees, all our centres are eligible for the Australian Government’s Child Care Subsidy. Your child’s journey begins here!
