Not only are we passionate about providing a nurturing and home-like environment for the children in our care, we also aim to provide a similar experience for our staff. We encourage training and development opportunities and are passionate about staff growing their career pathway with us. Many of our Educators commenced with us as trainees and have undergone further training with our support to go on be Team Leaders and Executive Service Managers.
I commenced my career in childcare with St George Montessori in 2009 as a trainee. I have always been passionate about working with children and was excited to receive on the job training. I was able to work while studying via correspondence, which St George Montessori supported me through. Once I completed my traineeship, I started study on my Diploma. While working and studying, I received experience with different aged children across the centre. Upon completion of my Diploma, I had career opportunities to become a Room Leader in the 2-3 year old room. I loved working with this age group. Over the years I have also completed other training courses such as Montessori training, First aid, Behavioural Management Courses and many more, all supported by St George Montessori. My greatest career achievement is my recent promotion to Centre Manager. Over my 10 years of working within the company, St George Montessori has always encouraged my ambitions by supporting me through all my studies and furthering my knowledge and experience within the childcare industry.
