Winter School Holiday Activities Sydney

With the June/July school holidays nearly upon us, we have put together a list of activities located around our centres. We understand that most of our parents have multiple children including some in Primary School.

 

St George Area

 

Drawing workshop

During this drawing workshop, kids will be given the opportunity to learn and develop their learning skills by a professional Sydney Artist (Ages 3+)

When: Sunday 10th July

Where: Carss Park Life Saving Hall

Time: 10:30am – 12:30am

Cost: $11.50 for one adult and one child

 

Art, Play, Make

This program is a time for kids to get creative and use their craft skills!

Kids will be able to paint, play with play dough, making puppets and getting creative with kid’s hands

When: Saturday 2nd July

Where: Hurstville Museum and Gallery

Time: 10:30am – 12:30pm

Cost: $6.50 per child

 

Shark Workshop

Shark workshop is a kid’s school holidays program which involves kids learning about animals and learn to label a shark anatomy

When: July 4th – July 8th (Monday to Friday)

Where: Level 1 kids play Westfield Hurstville

Time: 11am – 1pm

Cost: $5 per child

 

Rooftop Dining Kids Play

Offering kids activities such as kids slides, playing with toy animals and restaurants on the same level for kids to eat.

When: Monday – Sunday throughout the day

Time: All day

Cost: Free

 

Sutherland Shire

 

Bangor Tavern

Bangor Tavern is a winter kids carnival which provides many fun and adventurous activities for young kids. This is a free entertainment outdoor facility

Types of activities include face painting, balloon artist, a jumping castle and a big screen playing kids TV shows

When: 11am to 2pm every Wednesday and Sunday

Where: Bangor Tavern – Cnr Menai & Yala Rds, Bangor

Cost: Free

 

Jurassic World at Kareela village

During the holidays, Kareela village is presenting Jurassic World!

Types of the many kid’s activities including dinosaur crafts, books based on dinosaurs and animals and other activities within the Jurassic World theme

When: 7th and 13th July

Where: Kareela village

Cost: Free

 

Sutherland Library – Curious Creatures

A fun morning of stories, games and a film to watch featuring all kinds of curious creatures!

When: Wednesday 6th July

Time: 10:30am – 11:30am

Where: Sylvania library, Southgate shopping centre, Sylvania

Cost: Free

 

Liverpool

 

Hexagol Football activation

Hexagol football activation is a fun kids program running throughout the school kids holidays. It’s a great opportunity for kids to come together and learn skills about soccer, as well as meeting new friends

When: Thursday, 7th July (3 sessions throughout the day)

Where: Austral Public School Sports Ground, 219 Edmondson Avenue

 

Games2U Interactive Session

A theatre bus that offers a range of exciting and fun activities for young kids

Types of activities include Minecraft, Fortnite, just dance, Mario Kart, karaoke and laser tag!

When: Thursday 14th July 2pm – 5pm

Where: Picnic area at Carnes Hill Precinct, 600 Kurrajong Road, Carnes Hill

Cost: Free
